Memory Threads
Memory Threads are fabric testaments to emotion, memory, and the natural world. Each piece explores how color carries feeling, while every “thread” reaches into a particular memory. Inspired by shifting seasons, organic forms, and the quiet patterns found in nature, my work translates these influences into soft gradients, flowing lines, and textured layers.
Chicken wire forms the vessel that holds these memories, its sharp rigidity contrasting with the softness of fabric and yarn—much like how memory itself can hold both comfort and tension. Through intentional color, ombré gestures, and tactile surfaces, I create sculptural narratives that echo the rhythms, moods, and ephemerality of the natural world while illuminating my personal history.
This body of work was displayed as an installation at the Mosesian Center for the Arts.
